ABOUT ABOUT

Tuesday, June 15, 2021 - 4:00 pm Pacific Time

The Holocaust demonstrated the capacity of humans to commit the most horrific and violent acts, but also their capacity to be incredibly courageous and heroic in the face of danger. In an atmosphere of terror, some people showed extraordinary courage and compassion in rescuing Jewish friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers, often at significant risk to themselves and their own families. ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ is the term given by Yad Vashem to the non-Jewish individuals who saved Jews during the Holocaust.

Join our Vice President of Education & Exhibits, Jordanna Gessler, and our Collection Manager, Christie Jovanovic, as they explore the stories of some of these honorable individuals, taking a closer look at their courageous and life-saving actions in the face of tremendous hate, violence, and terror.
